- “Certain models are governed by a modified MIT license, which offers the same permissions as Apache 2.0, with the following exception: Companies with monthly revenue exceeding $20M USD must either: Obtain a commercial license by contacting us, or Use the models via Mistral Studio” (Mistral Help Center, 2026-08-12).
- Counting rules
- A company-level condition, not a price meter. Mistral does not publish how monthly revenue is measured (group or entity, currency conversion). The Help Center says the licensing terms are documented in the model cards; the model-card license text is not published on a Mistral-owned domain covered here.

- Threshold: monthly revenue exceeding USD 20M requires a commercial license or use through Mistral Studio.
