Standard Description 
ISO/IEC 19770-1:2017, IT Asset Management (ITAM) Requirements[1] This standard lays out the foundational framework and requirements for implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving an ITAM system. It helps organizations establish a robust governance model, define clear roles and responsibilities, and ensure that IT assets (including software) are managed efficiently and in compliance with relevant policies and regulations. 
ISO/IEC 19770-2:2015, Software Identification (SWID) Tags[2] This part focuses on using standardized software identification tags to enhance transparency and automation in SAM processes. By embedding SWID tags into software products, organizations can streamline discovery, inventory, and usage measurement, making it easier to maintain accurate software records and comply with licensing terms. 
ISO/IEC 19770-3:2016, Software Entitlement Tagging[3] Building on the foundation of SWID tags, this standard introduces a method for creating standardized entitlement tags. These tags represent license entitlements in a consistent, machine-readable format, simplifying compliance verification, reconciling entitlements with deployments, and enabling automated compliance checks.
