- IBM License Metric Tool 9.2: RVU MAPC requirements are computed by splitting activated processor cores into tiers and multiplying by a factor: 0-2,500 cores x 1.00; 2,501-10,000 x 0.80; 10,001-50,000 x 0.60; 50,001-150,000 x 0.40; above 150,001 x 0.20. IBM example: 45,000 cores = 2,500 + 6,000 + 21,000 = 29,500 RVU MAPC. Full capacity counts the highest number in the physical environment; sub-capacity counts cores available to the VM.
