- About automatic licensing for organizational units (2026-09-24): turning on automatic licensing for the whole organization leaves existing licenses unchanged; turning it on for an organizational unit assigns the service to existing users and revokes an earlier license for the same service (including a different subscription of it, for example Business Plus switched to Enterprise Standard). Licenses for different services (for example Google Vault) are retained. On the Annual/Fixed-Term Plan, over-assignment in an OU gives some users a temporary license.
