- Getting started with the subscriptions service: pay-as-you-go On-Demand usage is tracked "in virtual CPU hours (vCPU hours)" for RHEL and "in core hours" for OpenShift Container Platform and OpenShift Dedicated 4.7 and later.

- Metered offerings bought through a cloud provider marketplace. Usage is aggregated into a monthly total, the unit of time used by the marketplace billing service. RHEL for Third Party Linux Migration with Extended Life Cycle Support Add-on is currently the only RHEL pay-as-you-go On-Demand offering tracked by Subscription Services and requires metered billing via the host-metering agent or cost management. Enterprise Agreement section 3.2: marketplace purchases allow usage information to be shared with Red Hat Affiliates (including IBM) or the Business Partner for billing and metering.
