- Microsoft: "Beginning October 1, 2019, on-premises licenses purchased without Software Assurance and mobility rights cannot be deployed with dedicated hosted cloud services offered by Listed Providers." Listed Providers as of that date: Alibaba, Amazon, Google and Microsoft, with their affiliates.
- Commercial rules
- Authorized Outsourcers are third-party providers that are not Listed Providers and do not use a Listed Provider as Data Center Provider. Outsourcing on dedicated devices is permitted with Authorized Outsourcers; shared servers need the Flexible Virtualization Benefit (subscription or active SA). On Listed Provider infrastructure, License Mobility through SA applies, including to dedicated servers. If a provider becomes a Listed Provider, a customer already using it may continue for one year.
