- Product Terms (Microsoft Azure): Customer may use the Microsoft Azure Hybrid Benefit in its own Microsoft Azure account. Eligible Windows Server licenses with an active subscription or Software Assurance: Windows Server Standard/Datacenter core licenses; Windows Server Standard/Datacenter processor licenses. Each processor license is equivalent to 16 core licenses. SQL: the Qualified Licenses in the PT table may be used for the named Microsoft Azure Data Service in the specified ratios.

- Windows Server VM licensing: allocate enough eligible core licenses to cover all Virtual Cores on the VM(s); the minimum number of core licenses required per VM is 8. Dedicated Host (Datacenter only): allocate enough Windows Server Datacenter core licenses to cover all Physical Cores on a Dedicated Host (or Azure Local Cluster under EA/CSP terms printed in PT); unlimited Virtual Machines on that host/cluster. Azure Migration Allowance: once licenses are allocated to Azure, Customer may not use them anywhere else except printed dual-use windows (Standard VM 180 days; Datacenter VM indefinitely; Dedicated Host 180 days). After at least 90 days, Customer may elect to stop using them for the Azure Hybrid Benefit. SQL core table as printed (no Server+CAL to vCore conversion is published): SQL Server Enterprise (Core) to MI/DB General Purpose, SSIS Standard, SQL Standard VMs = 1 Core License : 4 vCores/vCPUs; Enterprise Core to MI/DB Business Critical, SSIS Enterprise, SQL Enterprise VMs = 1 : 1; SQL Server Standard (Core) to MI/DB General Purpose, SSIS Standard, SQL Standard VMs = 1 : 1; Standard Core to MI/DB Business Critical, SSIS Enterprise, SQL Enterprise VMs = 4 Core Licenses : 1 vCore/vCPU. Footnote 1: Azure Hybrid Benefit is not available in the serverless compute tier of Azure SQL Database. Footnote 2: Subject to a minimum of four Core Licenses per Virtual Machine. Enterprise Core unlimited virtualization alternatively: cover all Physical Cores on an Azure Dedicated Host.
