- Used in Appendix 1 OpenShift Virtual Node capacity: 2 Cores or 4 vCPUs. Exhibit 1.B Note 1: one (1) Core is equivalent to two (2) vCPUs with hyper-threading active for Exhibit 1.B products unless the Order Form says otherwise. OpenShift subscription guide (202601): on hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP) 4 vCPU are always considered a single core-pair; on bare metal, count physical cores regardless of hyperthreading. Red Hat publishes no Socket-pair to vCPU packing formula.
